Eduardo Garrido Crianza 2011

Availability: In stock

Quick Overview

Wine Spectator gave this wine 91 points and also included it on their list of Top 25 Best Wines Under $25. The delicate fruit is classic tempranillo: blackberry and plum with notes of cigar box and sweet baking spice like star anise. The lactic notes from 16 months extended ageing in oak have softened the tannins leaving a clean, long finish. Only naturally-occurring indigenous yeasts and enzymes were involved in the fermentation process. The vines are totally free of any artificial fertilizers or chemicals.

  • 16 months in 80% French, 20% American oak; 30% new and 70% 2+ cycle
  • Berry stalk & peppery
  • 85% Tempranillo & 15% Garnacha
  • Rioja DO - Ábalos (Rioja Alta), Spain
  • 14

Established in 1923, the Eduardo Garrido winery in Rioja Alta has long been a fixture on the terroir-driven wine scene.
